This boat is 'Old Glory' one of the boats that raced with 'Liberty the Second' this photo is dated approximately 1 year after 'Liberty the Second'sunk. It is also reported that this boat sunk after colliding with another boat. Back reads in handwriting, " 'Old Glory' speed boat owned by Mr. Geo. J. Huber, Akron, O. On Turkeyfoot Lake. Makes 60 miles per hour. Sept 21 1923, My last photo taken for 'Akron Times' "

Vintage Picture of ARROW II Racing boat. Very unique photo of an early piece of boat racing history the photo was by Colonial Studio Sharpsburg, Pa. Actually 'Arrow II'won a heat against 'Liberty the Second'in 1922.

A photo of'Liberty the Second' just after being raised from the bottom of Coneaut Lake, July of 1985. There are no known photographs of 'Liberty the Second' known to exist. After looking at the photographs of 'Arrow II' & 'Liberty the Second', We believe that both boats were built by the same builder. "Liberty The Second" was built in Pittsburgh for Harry N. Snavely, the builder is unknown. There are many similar items on both boats including the tiller steering and various hardware items and building techniques.
